Out Loud!

Out Loud! was a self-started initiative created during my tenure as the LGBTQIA+ affinity group lead of my company’s DE&I board. Conceived as a way for queer and ally employees to use their voices in support of everyone’s right to live proud and free, the project consisted of naming and branding, producing the social media campaign, and fundraising for various organizations.

Unique typography and a bespoke exclamation point bring the logotype to life, with primary and secondary lockups created for versatile placement. Colorful gradients are a subtle nod to the rainbow, the main representation of the queer community.

Various marks and lockups were designed to live across a range of expressions, from social media to the retail site. The defined styles establish a whimsical yet simple system.

An integral part of the fundraising aspect of the initiative was to sell a limited run of eight t-shirts, with all profits going to four key LGBTQIA+ organizations. Each t-shirt was designed by an individual or team within the company, recruiting our own creative talent for the cause. 117 t-shirts were sold and the company matched the profits for a total of nearly $2,500 going to charity.
